  • My whole life, I had been told "never bank at a bank, only use credit unions. Banks will charge you fees and look at you like a number." Well, after two horrendous experiences banking at two different credit unions where I got charged nothing but fees and was treated like something stuck to the bottom of someone's shoe, we decided to switch to Chase. I love banking at Chase! Can I just say I have never been charged a single fee? One way that Chase is so great to customers is that if you overdraft your account, you have 24 hours to deposit the difference before they charge you an overdraft fee. Also, no monthly fees as long as you direct deposit a certain amount (we deposit our paychecks so we always meet the minimum, which I think is about $500). The staff is so friendly. They are so professional- unlike some tellers at my olds banks who could barely count money, these tellers always count my money back to me and even flip the bills to be facing the same direction. These things that used to be standard banking practices but have fallen by the wayside in many other places are still strict standards at Chase. I always feel like a cherished member of the Chase community, instead of just a way to make money. At my credit union, the tellers were constantly nagging me to get a credit card or take out a car loan. I've never been asked to do so at Chase, which I really appreciate. There are also some perks that big banks have that small credit unions don't. Increased account security, better ATM's, and better accessibility to both my money and a Chase representative online or on the phone if something goes wrong are just a few of the things I've enjoyed. Finally, the locations can't be beat. Because Chase is partnered with Fred Meyer, there are locations virtually everywhere you'd want to go in the Treasure Valley. I never feel like it's out of the way to make it to the bank. The only thing I wish is that there were more stand-alone locations so that there were more drive-up options. But in the end, getting out of the car is good for me! I am so happy banking at Chase. They have never given me any problems and the professionalism and friendliness of all the staff I've worked with can't be beat.

  • These folks are incredible. Seriously. EVERY one of them knows what type of sucker I like. It so happens that they are also very good about taking care of money and giving me quality advice (which, I think, is what most people care about in a bank.) But they do much more. These guys don't just go the extra mile, they run an extra marathon and do 50 clap pushups at the finish line too. Ridiculously knowledgeable and friendly staff. They have always take. Care of me through the good and the bad.
